Application:

It is used as a raw material and solvent in many areas of the organic, pharmaceutical and plastics industry for the production of explosives (TNT), dyes, detergents and perfumes and as a component of high-octane aviation fuels. Due to the low pour point, it is also used in liquid minimum thermometers (measuring the lowest air temperature that occurred during the day at 2 m and 5 cm above sea level) placed in the station and meteorological stations.

Also used in the production of gels, sprays and hair dyes and nail varnishes.
